DK Security

DuHadway, Kendall and Associates, doing business as DK Security was established in 1995 by John R. Kendall, a retired U.S. Marshal, and Robert C. DuHadway, a retired FBI Supervisory Agent. Both men retired in law enforcement at the same time and shared an interest in working a few more years. They also recognized a the need for a high-quality security and investigation company in the Grand Rapids area.

Although John and Bob originally intended the firm to be small and referred to it as a “retirement project”, the company has grown into a $15 million dollar business (annual gross revenue) with over 1,100 employees. Headquartered locally in Kentwood with branches in Lansing and Novi, the business continues to grow rapidly.

DK Security may be increasing its wide array of services based on client needs and expanding into other Midwestern states, yet its loyalty to the local Grand Rapids area and Michigan remains strong. The entire DK management team lives and works in West Michigan. The company is committed to giving back, utilizing Michigan-owned businesses, and developing enduring partnerships with their clientele in Michigan.
